Tell us about the history of your company.

 

Since 2006, Predator International has been the exclusive distributor of JSB and Predator Branded pellets in North America. JSB’s pellets widely recognized as the most consistent and accurate airgun pellets in the world. Started nearly 30 years ago by Mr. Joseph Schultz from Bohumin, Czech Republic (hence JSB), Predator gained notoriety in the early 2000s with the invention of the Polymag pellet, the world’s first ballistic tipped hunting pellet in the airgun pellet category.

 

What products do you offer, and what are your top sellers?

 

Predator has nearly 100 SKUs of airgun pellets and slugs in calibers .177, .20, .22, .25, .30 and .35. In recent years, the emergence of the .25 and .30 caliber pellets and slugs now slightly outsell the .22 caliber. The airgun industry continues to grow at double digits year over year.

 

Are there any new or unique products coming up?

 

JSB is currently working on a variety of .35 caliber slugs (in a variety of diameters) as well as a heavy .22 Hades hunting pellet.

 

Why do dealers choose your products over your competitors’?

 

Dealers choose Predator and JSB because they are consistently the most accurate pellets for the widest swath of guns available and because the shooters demand them.

 

What types of stores carry your products, and who is the end consumer?

 

Large online retailers and smaller Ma/Pa brick and mortar stores carry Predator and JSB all across the country. Most end users are avid airgun enthusiasts, shooting for sport, competition and for hunting. But there are also the fair-weather airgun shooters who typically reach for their airgun when the backyard squirrels become a problem.

 

What challenges have you seen recently in your industry, and what are you doing to overcome them?

 

During the pandemic, extreme demand combined with horrible supply chain issues caused massive out-of-stocks. But these issues have, for the most part, corrected themselves.

 

What advice do you have for independent retailers facing the same challenges?

 

Retailers need not worry about out-of-stocks at the moment. While some items may still be in limited supply, this will not be an issue starting in the spring.

 

What is your order process and turnaround time for dealers?

 

Once an order is placed, we typically can ship the same or next day.

 

Do you have any minimum order requirements or requirements when choosing a dealer?

 

We ask a new customer to order at least $300 to get started.
