Revo Knives was founded with one goal in mind: to produce a high-quality superior product at an affordable price. After receiving a great response from our readers, they sent us two of their knives for review: the K9 Karambit and Ness models.

The K9 Karambit is a multifunctional tactical knife designed for everyday carry. Karambit style knives were originally designed in Indonesia with a Hawkbill style curved blade that may look like a claw. The K9 Karambit has a unique blade with the traditional curve but also a tip more like a Tanto blade This blade is more robust and designed for everyday tasks. The pocket clip on the K9 can also be adjusted to different carrying positions. Karambit knives also offer a unique loop at the pinky to help increase grip as well as improve self defense functionality. The overall length of the knife is just under eight inches with a 2.83” blade. It opens and closes very smoothly on a bearing pivot point. The blade is built with 9CR18MOV steel and has a stonewash finish. Karambit has a stainless-steel handle and offered in black or silver.

The second knife they sent us was the Ness model. The Ness, also a folding knife, has more of your traditional everyday carry pocketknife look to it. Revo has put their modern twist on the classic Nessmuk blade style for this knife. The origin of the Nessmuk design is unknown. However, the style of blade was first depicted in writings from a 19th century outdoor enthusiast and author, George Washington Sears. Sears would write under the pen name “Nessmuk” hence the common name of the curved blade style.

The Ness is built with a heavy-duty G-10 composite handle with D2 steel stonewashed blade. The handle is textured and grooved for a secure grip. The Ness also measures approximately eight inches in length with a slightly larger three-and-a-half-inch blade. It is also available in four grip colors. Black, Blue, OD Green and Carbon Fiber.
Both of these knife styles are a great product for any tactical or outdoor store. One of the best parts of these quality knives is their price. Handling them, I would have expected a retail price around $200 or more. However, the K9 retails for only $110 and the Ness for as little as $95. For more information visit their website at
