Tell us about the history of your company.
Founded in 2005 Proforce Equipment, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of several brands in North and South America. We are proud to offer quality products at competitive prices and we pride ourselves on servicing Military Service Members, Tactical and Law Enforcement officers and Outdoor Enthusiasts through our network of Dealers and Distributors. We feel our product selection, availability and our outstanding customer service sets us apart from our competition.
What products do you offer and what are your top sellers?
Proforce Equipment, Inc. is the Exclusive Distributor and Representative for Snugpak®, NDūR® and Camcon® in North and South America and for Tasmanian Tiger® in the United States. Our best-selling products include Snugpak sleeping bags, sleeping mats, bivvi bags and tents. Tasmanian Tiger Backpacks, Tac and Mag Pouches, Medic Packs and Bags, IFAK Pouches and Tourniquet Pouches.
Are there any new or unique products coming up?
At Shot Show 2023 we will launch new products from SNUGPAK including a new line of insulated clothing and from Tasmanian Tiger many new Backpacks and Tactical Accessories.
Why do dealers choose your products over your competitors?
The brands we sell offer quality products at competitive prices, many items we sell are unique. This combined with our large inventory and quick order turnaround supports our customer’s own needs.
What types of stores carry your products and who is the end consumer?
Outdoor, Military, Law Enforcement and Uniform, Tactical, Hunting, Gun Stores and Ranges. Our end user is the Outdoor Enthusiast, Military and Law Enforcement.
What challenges have you seen recently in your industry and what are you doing to overcome them?
Longer lead times from our overseas suppliers and increased ocean freight costs, we work with our suppliers on long term forecasts for the products we need and maximize container loading to minimize the effects of these global supply change issues we are all experiencing.
What advice do you have for independent retailers facing the same challenges?
Work with your suppliers on forward and seasonal orders so they can make sure they have enough of their products in production and so you are at the front of the line when the goods arrive. Our dealers that are successful with our brands utilize an order replenishment program allowing them to automatically reorder as they sell keeping their shelves and pegs full of the products that are selling through.
What is your order process and turnaround time for dealers?
In stock items ship within 24-48 hours, larger orders 72 hours. Our Knoxville, TN warehouse is only a day or two ground shipping to most of our customers and 3 to 4 days to the rest of the lower 48.
Do you have any minimum order requirements, or requirements when choosing a dealer?
To become an Authorized Dealer of our products we require you to have either a Brick & Mortar Store, or vertical ecommerce website within our channels of distribution. We offer a 50% discount off MSRP and our Minimum Order Value is $250 with FREE FREIGHT on Order Values over $2500 to the Lower 48.
