Product Review: MWraps Finger Bandages
I have to say that the “Oh Crap Wrap” from Mwraps is probably one of the coolest products I have had my hands on here at the magazine. Or I should say, that I’ve had on my hands! Mwraps was created by two tradesmen, who were no strangers to cuts and scrapes on the job. Always with a trusty roll of duct tape and a piece of paper towel, ready to quickly wrap a wound and get back to work. They decided to come up with a better solution to a problem that anyone who works or plays hard with their hands can relate to. From years of grabbing a roll of duct tape to stop the bleed, on the job, came the idea for the “Oh Crap Wrap” from Mraps!
As a person who often finds a way to cut and knicks his hands up, I couldn’t wait to try it out. The wrap comes in a box with an excellent retro look. Inside, the wrap is on a hard, yellow plastic roll and case. Similar to a larger version of a Plumber’s Teflon tape roll. Plumbers can certainly relate to busted-up knuckles and fingers on the job. On the roll are 48 individual perforated rapid apply finger bandages.
The bandages are long, at over six inches. The two-inch pad is also much longer than a traditional bandage. Ensuring full pad coverage around the finger, protecting the wound. Just grab the Oh Crap Wrap and give it a couple of quick wraps around the finger, and then tear at the perforation.
While the rapid application is awesome. Probably my favorite thing about the “Oh Crap Wrap” is that you can take it off, adjust it, and wrap it again. Over and over and over again! Too tight? Unwrap it and adjust? Now it’s too loose or crooked? Unwrap, adjust again, and wrap. Accidentally folded it over itself? Just pull tight to unravel, then wrap again. You could never do this with a traditional bandage. Too tight or folded over the corner on a traditional bandage? Take it off, get a new one. “But not the Oh Crap Wrap!”
The wrap is also water-resistant. Even if your hands are wet or the bandage gets wet upon application. Just wrap and press firmly to squeeze out excess water? Too tight? Unwrap, adjust, and do it again!
The “Oh Crap Wrap” from Mraps is probably one of the most innovative and useful products that I have had an opportunity to review. If your customers work or play hard with their hands, you NEED the “Oh Crap Wrap” in your store! For more information, visit www.mwraps.com. Or email.
