The threat of having your cybersecurity breached in today’s day and age is evermore increasing. Not only do people have to worry about scam calls or emails, but it’s as easy as ever for a hacker to intrude on your personal information. It could be using the same unprotected WIFI connection at a coffee shop, or someone walking up behind you to scan your wallet for card information right from your pocket. It’s a constant battle keeping your information safe, however, with Offgrids new Switch Wallet and Faraday Bag, that battle can finally come to an end.

You may be wondering “What makes this wallet so special? The answer lies with the wallet’s thick layers of security. Normal leather or some metal wallets are vulnerable to hacking attacks, where they scan your cards through your wallet and pants pocket without you knowing. Offgrid came up with the solution by creating the world’s first Faraday Cage Wallet, or the Switch Wallet. This wallet uses faraday material, which protects against electronic signals such as cell, Bluetooth, GPS, WIFI, satellite, 5G, and has RFID shielding. In other words, it can take you off the grid. This wallet also has the added benefit of being a case to hold other electronic devices like a phone or thumb drive. Simply open the wallet on the right side where there is a Velcro and magnetic seal that houses an entire 7×3 inch pocket in your wallet. It is large enough to hold any phone or small device.

I will be honest when I say when I first saw this wallet, I was a little skeptical at how good it would work. How could this little wallet block out all electronic signals?  My criticism was immediately silenced when I went to try out the pocket compartment with my phone. Without realizing I still had bluetooth headphones connected to the phone, I put the phone in the pocket and closed it. Almost immediately, I was met with the sputtering of my music then complete silence. When I looked at the wallet, I was amazed because it had worked so fast.

There may be some people who already have the perfect wallet or may not want their wallet to function as two different tools. If that’s the case, then Offgrid’s Faraday Bag is the optimal choice for those who want security, but not just in their wallet. This bag comes in 3 handy sizes. A 8.05″ x 9.45″ bag for phones and other small electric devices, a 9.75” x 13.99″ tablet sized bag for those who want to protect a kindle or Ipad. Finally, there is the 13.39” x 20.75” laptop size that can hold most portable computers. The bags are designed with stitchless, thermo-welded seams which help eliminate any holes in the Faraday material, giving you that extra layer of security. As a person who likes their security to be top notch, the effort that Offgrid puts into their products can not be ignored.
